Griffin Plumer has been making work in Chicago for the past decade. He develops images based on human narratives, looking for what can be correlated spatially. He emphasizes these compositional elements in order to draw on basic emotions like dread, anticipation and desire. While the content and mediums have fluctuated, the drive to construct dream like non-spaces has remained consistent.

Originally from Texas, Griffin studied in Chicago. He holds his BFA from The American Academy of Art and was awarded The Society of Illustrators Board of Directors Award in Memory of Jeff Fisher. He has spent recent time developing work in the Basilicata region of Italy. His work has been exhibited in many different settings and is held in private collections across the United States.
